Sesame

Toasted sesame or sesame is a seed rich in calcium and iron that is used in salads, breads, breading and decoration in pastries. It is widely used in oriental cuisine for sautéed vegetables, meat or fish.

DANI offers 3 types of sesame:

  • Toasted sesame: it has a more marked flavor similar to walnuts and sunflower seeds, with a crunchy texture. Ideal for salads and ice cream as they provide more flavor. 
  • White sesame: it is the most popular and is characterized by its mild flavor and less crunchy than toasted sesame. 
  • Black sesame: it has a slightly more bitter taste than other types of sesame. It is also the type of sesame with the most calcium.
